FEBRUARY NETWORK MEETING
Our February meeting brings us the fledgling but growing business of Kristian O’Donovan and Tomás Finneran. These entrepreneurs run Flúirse Ltd., (www.fluirse.com) a producer of educational CD Roms based in The Crean Business Centre in Tralee. Flúirse means “abundance” and these two businessmen have the drive, the business skill, a flair for publicity and style in abundance.
This business was formed in 2005 to develop interactive media and software that is specifically designed for the primary school curriculum. Flúirse also develop and host online training courses specifically for Primary School Teachers.
The business won the Southern Final of the Shell Livewire Young Entrepreneur of the Year competition in 2006, and was short-listed recently for the eLearning Product of the Year at the Digital Media Awards.
The Kerry Business Network has invited the business partners to tell us their story, the idea development, where the business came from, the problems, the opportunities, the pitfalls and challenges in developing to their current stage. What does the future hold for the business?
This event has been arranged as follows:
Venue: Randles Court Hotel, Killarney
Date: 12th February 2007
Time: 7 p.m.
DonáI O’ Grady is taking the product table for the night and we look forward to his insights and expertise on quality water and filtration systems.
I hope to see you all there as we re-launch the Network for 2007!!!
